Wheat Midds from the milling process are combined with wheat-based distillers’ grains from the biofuels process to create Wet Distillers Grain with solubles (WDGS) and Dry Distillers Grain with solubles (DDGS). The result is valuable, year-round feed with high levels of nutrition.

Producers can trust Amber Wave to provide a high-quality alternative to traditional livestock feed.

Wheat Midds or wheat middlings are a co-product of the milling of wheat into flour. The particle size differs as different amounts of endosperm, bran, and germ from the wheat kernel are broken down. Wheat midds are blended with distillers grains to produce animal nutrition co-products.

Wet Distillers Grains with solubles are a result of the biofuel production process and contain a high percentage of moisture giving the product a shorter shelf-life. Local farmers and feedlots utilize WDGS to feed large amounts of cattle at a lower cost.

Dry Distillers Grains with solubles are a longer lasting nutrition option. The lower moisture levels allow for the product to be packaged and transported farther distances. More producers can benefit from DDGS, no matter their proximity to the plant.

This co-product will provide nutritional value to beef cattle, dairy cattle, and swine.
