Highest BRC Quality Rating Reflects Amber Wave’s Culture of Food Safety

Our production facility is pleased to announce that we have received the highest quality/food safety rating from the BRCGS Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard formerly (BRC) the British Retail Consortium.

“The audit was a great success, and everybody should be commended for all their hard work, effort, and pursuit of excellence. Building a successful food safety culture can only happen with great people and good management support,” Cameron Vincent, Quality Assurance Manager said.

The BRC scheme was designed to supply food retailers with a common approach to supplier auditing. BRC food safety audits concentrate on nine areas, including:

  • Senior management commitment
  • Food Safety Plan
  • Food safety and quality management system
  • Site standards
  • Product control
  • Process control
  • Personnel

Beyond assessing each of these criteria, the auditor interviewed staff from each department (Packaging/Warehouse, Extraction/Dryer, Mill, Maintenance, and Quality). The auditor was impressed with the facility’s cleanliness, order, and overall appearance. He was complimentary of all the personnel that he interviewed and felt that they were knowledgeable and had no issues walking him through the process for their area.
